Items that do not need to be taxed


- Personal items that are in reasonable quantities for personal use. or use in a profession The value does not exceed 20,000 baht and must not be prohibited items, restricted items (items that require permission before being imported), food supplies, and must not be commercial items. Even if you are exempt from paying taxes, for example, in the case of buying 1 bag worth no more than 20,000 baht to use yourself, you don't have to declare it. But if you buy 10 bags, even if they cost no more than 20,000 baht, it may be considered trade. Must pay import tax

- Alcoholic drinks Volume not more than 1 liter

- Not more than 200 cigarettes or 250 grams of cigars or tobacco, or the total weight of all types not more than 250 grams (but not more than 200 cigarettes).


Items that must be taxed

- Personal items with a total value of more than 20,000 baht, whether for personal use or not. (Items taken from Thailand will not be taken into account. if declared before travelling)

- Items of a commercial nature Even if the value is less than 20,000 baht, for example, 10 bags, even if the value does not exceed 20,000 baht

- Alcoholic beverages more than 1 liter

- More than 200 cigarettes

- Cigars or tobacco over 250 grams

- Items that must be controlled, for example, medicines, dietary supplements, pets, firearms, etc.
